Be realistic, a shorter well-defined trial tends to attract more serious applicants than an open-ended one
Be honest about what outcome would tell you the trial worked. For shorter trials this can be as simple as having a focused conversation that confirms your expectations and motivations are aligned. For longer trials it might be a specific deliverable, a prototype, or a defined piece of work. There are no wrong answers - the goal is to give applicants a clear sense of what they are working towards.
Where would you ideally like your contributor to be based? Leave blank if open to anyone.

These appear on the contributor application form as additional questions unique to your project.
